Little Red Church 18 x 24 Oil
My painting of this beautiful little church was inspired by Pu' Uanahulu Baptist Church, "The Little Red Church" located on Mamalohoa Highway in Kailua Kona, Big Island Hawaii. I photographed the church and the surrounding area so I could use them to create this picture when I returned to the mainland.

I love the California coastline, but who doesn't? While visiting Morro Bay, I took lots of photos of the harbor, bay and Morro Rock. It was a foggy beach day that I have always enjoyed. I loved the beauty of the giant Morrow Rock lightly shrouded in fog. There were surfers of the right side of the rock and the boat harbor on the left side of the rock which protrudes between the two bodies of water. Boats were entering and leaving the harbor on the left. In the distance one can see the harbor close to the little town and behind that are giant smoke stacks. (No smoke) The seagulls were begging for food with their companions, the squirrels. It was a great day with a dear friend who was more interested in feeding the animals than anyone there that day.
